DAY 0: The Meeting Room

DAY: 0
TIME: 6:45 PM
LOCATION: "The Meeting Room," at the Domus, Rome, Italy.

Here we are. The Theology IV class of 2016. Gathered together in the eternal city. Rome, Italy. We are in "The Meeting Room" at our accommodation.  This is our first gathering all together as a group (15 + 1).

In the photo, you see everyone, minus Rev. Mr. Neil Bakker (group photographer), and Rev. Mr. Matthew Northenscold (absent due to nap). In the nearest chair to the right of the empty seat you see Rev. Mr. Paul Haverstock (Theology IV classmate from Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis currently in seminary formation in Rome at the North American College).

Every Sunday evening, we will meet as a group at 6:45 PM for Evening Prayer, announcements and plans.  During the week, M - Thurs, we plan to have official meetings and appointments.  Our time will emphasis the Mission and Ministry of the Catholic Church. Our first assignment is due on Friday!

Section 1 includes three readings on the History of the Missionary Nature of the Church.


Here we are, following the 6:45 PM meeting at dinner in the "Domus."  The "Domus" is a house that the Vatican has available to Bishops who come on Ad Limna visits to Rome to meet with the Holy Father every 5 years.

Dinner is every evening at 7:15 PM. The main course that is served at the table for dinner is always soup. The second entree is served buffet style.  The third plate available buffet style is fresh fruit and salad.

UP NEXT:  Tomorrow, Monday January 4, we will have 10 AM Mass as a group at The Basillica of St. Paul Outside the Walls.
